Remm Hibiya

Viewing: Guest only

Japan Federation of Interior Planner’s Association (JIPA) Review

“Not guestroom, but bedroom” is the concept behind Remm, which has been designed following ideas such as “sound sleep while staying at a hotel,” “sensory space of sweet sleep,” “five-sense experience of comfort,” and “overhead rainshower.” It is a neutral space with almost no scents, fitted with the finest and most pleasant materials, including bed sheets or anything that touches one’s hands or feet. A silence that induces a resting atmosphere is achieved through advanced acoustic insulation; a carpet prepared with flatly woven wool and linen covers the floor and is comforting to step on. The bathroom is spacious since it has no bathtub, and instead, one can enjoy resting on a stool under the soft shower rain.
